Young Authors and Artists 07: My favourite season

Saturday 21 July — Wednesday 1 August 2007 (closed on Sundays)

In the annual project ‘Young Authors and Artists’, the National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS) celebrates the talent and creativity of deaf children and young people from all over Northern Ireland. The project was launched by Bob McCullough of the Belfast Telegraph in the early 1980′s, providing a forum for deaf children and young people to express themselves through creative writing and art. This year over 100 children entered the annual competition, seizing the opportunity to work with professional artists and writers, learn new skills and express themselves through creative writing and art.
An exhibition of the children’s work will be on display in the Crescent Arts Centre from Saturday 21 July — Wednesday 1 August 2007.

NDCS is the national charity dedicated to creating a world without barriers for deaf children and young people. NDCS co-ordinates a wide programme of activities and events for deaf children, their siblings and families. If you would like more information about this or other NDCS events in Northern Ireland please contact the team on 028 9031 3170 (voice) 028 9027 8177 (text) or email: nioffice@ndcsni.co.uk
