“How far would you go to honour the dead?”
Set during the aftermath of a bloody civil war, the city of Thebes is in turmoil. The two competing heirs to throne, Etocles and Polynices, have killed each other. Creon is king, and Antigone is his niece. Creon orders that Antigone’s brother, Polynices, must remain without burial rights. What follows is a struggle between Antigone and Creon.
In a purely actor driven production themes such as ‘individual and the state’, ‘conscience versus law’ and ‘divine law versus human law’ will be played out before your eyes.
