At just 16 years old, Dublin-based rising-star saxophonist Matt Halpin has received tuition from world-renowned players such as Branford Marsalis, Billy Harper and John Riley. He attended the New School’s summer jazz workshops in ’05 and ’06 and has performed as soloist in the National Concert Hall (Dublin), Merkin Concert Hall of New York and Brooklyn College, New York.

23-year-old drummer David Lyttle emerged onto the Irish scene in 2005 and has gone on to become one of the country’s most sought-after musicians. He is a regular performer in New York, Toronto and Eastern Europe, and has worked with world-renowned musicians such as Jamie Baum, Michael Buckley, Jacqui Dankworth, Ronan Guilfoyle, David Liebman, Ken Peplowski and Louis Stewart.

Completing the group are two impressive young local musicians: pianist Scott Flanigan, who has maintained a strong presence on the Belfast scene for several years, and Bangor bassist Carl Harvey, who is taking time off from jazz studies at London’s Trinity College of Music.
