This is a quick reminder about some upcoming workshops at the Crescent.  Space is limited so do book early to avoid disappointment.

André Gide: La symphonie pastorale *
with Annick Grall (workshop in French)

André Gide exerted a tremendous influence on French literature and
achieved an extraordinary degree of freedom which fascinated the
Surrealists.  Following a presentation, we will analyse and discuss La symphonie
pastorale, a topical novel nearly a century after its publication. Please enrol
prior to day of workshop.

From Page to Stage: Major 20th Century
Playwrights: Samuel Beckett *
with Rosie Pelan
Sunday 8 March  • 2.00pm-4.00pm  • £12.00/£10.00
We will focus on the humour and musicality of Beckett’s language in Waiting
For Godot and Endgame. We will also explore themes and language through
scene study. You will develop particular skills in script analysis and rehearsal
techniques and will perform specially chosen scenes to your fellow students.

Life Drawing *
with Peter Mutschler
Saturday 14 March  • 11.30am-4.30pm  • £25.00/£20.00
‘Large-scale’ and ‘expressive’ are the key words for this workshop. Combine
visual observation and inner feelings to develop personal expression.
Combinations of drawing, collage or text encouraged. Please bring
magazines/papers for cut-outs and rolls of wall lining paper.  16+ years
