The Crescent Arts Centre seeks individuals for the following posts to ensure the smooth operation of a completely refurbished multi-purpose community arts centre, at a very exciting time in its history.

DEPUTY MANAGER (Finance / Administration)

(Fixed Term Appointment for 11 months)

This pivotal role will work closely with the Manager, to ensure effective administration and support for the Crescent Arts Centre, spanning the centre’s programme of creative, learning and participatory-based activities; offering high quality administrative services to the Manager and team.

The post-holder will not only oversee and ensure all relevant financial controls and procedures are followed in accordance with the centre’s systems and statutory legislation but will also develop consistent administrative systems and functions to integrate and maximise the overall co-ordination and administration of the centre as a whole.

The post-holder will also supervise, lead and work directly with the Crescent Arts Centre’s staff, tutors, performers and other creative personnel, to effectively plan, co-ordinate and administer all activity within the building.

Salary: £24,000 per annum pro rata based on fixed term of 11 months

OUTREACH & EDUCATION OFFICER

To design, develop, implement and monitor community arts activities within and across communities from and at the Crescent Arts Centre.

These activities will be participative, non-prescriptive and community-led and will be designed to increase the participants’ personal development and self esteem. To explore funding mechanisms in association with the Marketing and Fundraising Officer.

Salary: £22,000 per annum

MARKETING & FUNDRAISING OFFICER

This post reports to the Manager and will play a vital role in maximising the full potential of a completely refurbished multi purpose community arts centre. The post-holder will work alongside the Manager, Deputy Manager and other team members to devise, implement and deliver agreed marketing and fundraising strategies.

Salary: £22,000 per annum

ARTS TECHNICIAN

Arts technician required for a completely refurbished multi-purpose arts centre. Consisting of a high percentage of evening work the Arts Technician will be responsible to the Manager for the delivery of consistent and high quality technical services (eg. sound / lighting) relating to live events, productions, performances and festivals in the centre, and for the maintenance, technical servicing and operation of the specialised equipment for the aforementioned activities. Flexibility of working hours is essential.

Salary: £22,000 per annum

PART TIME ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER

Working closely with the Deputy Manager, the principal responsibility of the post is to support the effective administration of the centre, with a particular focus on the learning and participation activities and seasonal class programmes and courses.

In addition, the post-holder will assist in maintaining and developing administration systems and databases including the preparation of contracts, and generally undertake other administrative duties as required.

The Post-holder will be responsible for coordinating meetings and events, preparing contracts, monitoring and updating records, maintaining filing systems and generally providing a vital point of contact for the team and its work.

Salary: £22,000 per annum pro rata based on 2.5 days / week
