<p>The Crescent Arts Centre seeks a self-motivated, organised and enthusiastic individual with a proven track record in community arts outreach work.</p>
<p>Working closely with the Crescent Management and staff this individual will design, develop, implement and monitor community arts activities within and across communities from and at the Crescent Arts Centre. These activities will be participative, non-prescriptive and community-led and will be designed to increase the participantsʼ personal development and self esteem. The role will also involve exploring funding mechanisms in association with the Marketing and Fundraising Officer.</p>
<p><strong>Salary (Gross): £22,500 &#8211; £23,100 per annum</strong></p>

<h3><strong>1. WEEKEND RECEPTIONIST (PART TIME)</strong></h3>
<p>Working closely with the Crescent Management and staff team, you will have the unique opportunity to be part of the team in this vibrant arts centre.</p>
<p>The successful applicant will be vital in creating and maintaining the positive image of the arts centre, building its reputation with the public and maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer care.</p>
<p>In addition, the post-holder will act as first point of contact for users of the arts centre with the highest standards of customer service and efficiency at all times and to deliver fast efficient ticket sales via our box office system to all customers.</p>
<h3><strong>2. CASUAL CREW (POOL)</strong></h3>
<p>Consisting of a high percentage of evening work casual Crew are responsible to the Arts Technician and/or Centre Manager for the delivery of consistent and high quality technical services (e.g. sound / lighting / room set-ups) relating to live events, productions, performances, festivals, classes and room hires in the centre.</p>

<p>The Crescent Arts Centre seeks an individual for the post of Part Time Administrative Officer (Maternity Cover) to ensure the smooth operation of a busy arts centre.</p>
<p>Working closely with the Deputy Manager, the principal responsibility of the post is to support the effective administration of the centre, with a particular focus on the seasonal class programmes and courses.</p>
<p>In addition, the post-holder will assist in maintaining and developing administration systems and databases including the preparation of contracts, and generally undertake other administrative duties as required.</p>
<p>The post-holder will be responsible for coordinating meetings and events, monitoring and updating records, maintaining filing systems and generally providing a vital point of contact for the team and its work.</p>
<p>Salary: £22,000 per annum pro rata based on 2.5 days / week (Fixed Term Contract until February 2012)</p>

<h2>DEPUTY MANAGER (Finance / Administration)</h2>
<p>(Fixed Term Appointment for 11 months)</p>
<p>This pivotal role will work closely with the Manager, to ensure effective administration and support for the Crescent Arts Centre, spanning the centre’s programme of creative, learning and participatory-based activities; offering high quality administrative services to the Manager and team.</p>
<p>The post-holder will not only oversee and ensure all relevant financial controls and procedures are followed in accordance with the centre’s systems and statutory legislation but will also develop consistent administrative systems and functions to integrate and maximise the overall co-ordination and administration of the centre as a whole.</p>
<p>The post-holder will also supervise, lead and work directly with the Crescent Arts Centre’s staff, tutors, performers and other creative personnel, to effectively plan, co-ordinate and administer all activity within the building.</p>
<p>Salary: £24,000 per annum pro rata based on fixed term of 11 months</p>
<h2>OUTREACH &amp; EDUCATION OFFICER</h2>
<p>To design, develop, implement and monitor community arts activities within and across communities from and at the Crescent Arts Centre.</p>
<p>These activities will be participative, non-prescriptive and community-led and will be designed to increase the participants’ personal development and self esteem. To explore funding mechanisms in association with the Marketing and Fundraising Officer.</p>

<h2>MARKETING &amp; FUNDRAISING OFFICER</h2>
<p>This post reports to the Manager and will play a vital role in maximising the full potential of a completely refurbished multi purpose community arts centre. The post-holder will work alongside the Manager, Deputy Manager and other team members to devise, implement and deliver agreed marketing and fundraising strategies.</p>
<p>Salary: £22,000 per annum</p>
<h2>ARTS TECHNICIAN</h2>
<p>Arts technician required for a completely refurbished multi-purpose arts centre. Consisting of a high percentage of evening work the Arts Technician will be responsible to the Manager for the delivery of consistent and high quality technical services (eg. sound / lighting) relating to live events, productions, performances and festivals in the centre, and for the maintenance, technical servicing and operation of the specialised equipment for the aforementioned activities. <p>We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and multi-skilled person to maintain the Crescent Arts Centre building.Whilst the main duty will be the maintenance within the building which will include minor plumbing, electrical, joinery work etc. there will be various other housekeeping / caretaking duties.</p>
<p>As the Centre functions during the day and the evening, working hours will be variable according to operational requirements.</p>
<p>Previous maintenance experience is essential together with a full valid and clean driving licence.</p>
