Adult Movement & Dance Class *

This is a highly enjoyable, fast moving class. It is Laban based, with emphasis on technique and creativity. It is advisable to wear loose comfortable clothing and bare feet. Enrolment is on the first night of term (Monday 13 September).

Tap Beginners

This beginners tap class is for people with little or no dance experience. Dancers will learn basic tap steps and fun routines throughout the term.

Jazz Dance Intermediate

This class offers experienced jazz dancers a chance to further develop their technique and performance skills. The class will include a warm up, structured technical instruction and a challenging jazz dance combination each week. Sandy is professionally trained and worked as a jazz dancer in the UK Summer Seasons and shows in the Far East and America.

BTMS – Solo Step Dance *

Forget the curly hair, sparkly dresses and high kicks. This is sean-nós, or old- style solo Irish step dancing. Perfect for anyone who feels they have a step in them, man or woman, young or old. Latin American Popular Dances

Dance, have fun and exercise while learning salsa, merengue, mambo and cumbias. This class has been designed for beginners to learn basic movements and steps of the different dances. Have fun, socialise and at the same time you will be doing a complete work out. This is the way we do it in Latin America. Please bring comfortable clothes, shoes, and water.

Poi Dance

Flamenco Dance Beginner

It is a relaxed class which introduces the basics of Flamenco dance – becoming familiar with Flamenco rhythms, learning the basic technique of Flamenco dance, and working on a simple choreography. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes or boots with a cuban heel which will support your feet, please do not wear stilettos or trainers. A fun class and a great workout for the whole body.

Flamenco Dance Intermediate

Flamenco dance class for students with at least one year of Flamenco dance experience. We will study more advanced Flamenco rhythms including contra (off the beat), more advanced handclapping technique / footwork and occasionally dance to a live guitarist. We are currently studying Alegrias, Tientos and Bulerias. If possible please wear Flamenco shoes and a practice skirt.

Jazz Street Dance

An ideal class if you want to push yourself to the next level. Sarah’s class will improve technique, strength and flexibility, it’s a fusion of ‘Old school’ jazz dance and ‘New school’ street dance. Originally trained at Arts Educational School, London, Sarah now works as a choreographer across the UK.

Tango Salón Improvers

This class continues the material taught in the beginners class and further enhances partner communication, footwork and elegant movement. Students are recommended to enrol with partners to allow focus on leader / follower roles. Towards the end of the class there will be an introduction to “milonga” dance – distinctive from tango but with common origins.

Bollywood Dance for All

Learn and enjoy the simple moves of both Bollywood and contemporary Indian dance. Bollywood dance is energetic and beneficial for physical well being. Learning can be achieved in a fun and relaxed manner.

Tango Salón Beginners

This class teaches the fundamentals of tango salón as it is danced in the milongas (tango night clubs) in Buenos Aires and the whole world. The objective is to familiarise students with the basic steps and routines under music and also tackles couple communication, posture and footwork.

Flamenco Castanet *

An introduction to Flamenco Castanets primarily for accompaniment of the dance. We will study finger exercises, rhythms and compas of Sevillanas. Circle Dance *
