Songwriting

This course has been developed to aid writers from beginner level through to established writers, who may be experiencing writers block. The course is full of creative ways to spark new ideas and re-energise your song writing skills. Different techniques will be used to get the creative juices flowing. Participants will also have the chance to produce their own songs and gain feedback from the rest of the class.

Writing Music

African Hand Percussion Beginners & Advanced

Master Drummer Master Nsiah has a deep understanding of polyrythmics, Ghanaian traditional music and percussion. Using rthythms from across West Africa, we will explore the basic techniques, emotion and concepts found in Africa Music. You will experience the essential dynamics of group performance while developing rhythmic skills, musical awareness and appreciation. Instruments are provided.

Traditional African Drumming & Dance

Have fun learning about traditional African Music through drumming and dancing. This taster workshop is an introduction to hand drumming techniques on a variety of west African Drums. Choose to dance, strengthening your rhythm and coordination, leaving you feeling re-energized and inspired. No musical experience required and dance suitable for all level of fitness and experience.

Hand Drumming Beginner & Intermediate Michael Sampson

An introduction for those getting started in Djembe, Darbuka, Doumbek or similar hand drum. Intermediate is for those who want to enhance and further your skills this class will help you develop your technique and playing style.
